Old World Glamour

A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome blends international luxury with Roman authenticity. This property follows Anantara’s philosophy of choosing historic buildings for their hotels in order to connect with the cities they are in. Located on the stunning circular Piazza della Repubblica, whose centerpiece is the Fountain of the Naiads, the property sits on top of the ancient Diocletian Thermal Baths that date back to AD 298 to AD 306. Visitors can observe the baths’ excavated foundations, pools, and mosaics through glass floors on the ground floor of the hotel.

Exploring Rome’s Iconic Landmarks

This glamorous property is ideally situated close to several famous tourist attractions, including the Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and the main Opera House. All of which are easily accessible by foot. Moreover, the Diocletian Baths, the National Roman Museum, and the 16th-century Basilica of Santa Mariadegli Angeli e dei Martiri are located directly on the square where the hotel is. Additionally, exploring Rome and beyond is extremely convenient as there is a metro stop just outside the hotel’s front door, and the central Termini railway station is less than a ten-minute walk away.

Opulence and Comfort

The Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome has 238 guest rooms and suites spread across two wings – the Koch Building and the Clementino wing, which was previously used as the Vatican’s granary in the 1700s. Many of the Premium rooms in this wing still retain the original, massive wooden beams as part of the decor.

The accommodations come in several different configurations and styles. All of the marble and travertine bathrooms are stocked with products from Acqua di Parma, oversized luxurious bath towels and lavish bathrobes. Rooms also come with an Italian Lavazza espresso machine so you can sip your morning cup in bed. There are 11 Duplex Suites, each offering stunning views of the Piazza and the Fountain of the Naiads. In addition, three Executive Suites have unique features such as a treadmill, Jacuzzi, steam bath, or a cozy terrace. The Presidential Suites are favored by famous guests like Sophia Loren. They offer double-height French windows, marble bathrooms, and a living room with a dining area and kitchenette, perfect for intimate celebrations or private dining experiences.

Savoring the Flavors

The hotel boasts not one but two exceptional dining options. The first is SEEN by Olivier, a rooftop restaurant and bar that exudes glamour, style, and international flair. This outpost is the fifth by renowned Portuguese Chef Olivier da Costa, where guests can unwind in style while savoring signature cocktails and a fine selection of sushi at sunset. The restaurant also features a fusion of Brazilian and Italian cuisines.

The second restaurant is INEO, an intimate 28-seat establishment helmed by Chef Heros de Agostinis. Here, guests can indulge in exquisitely presented gourmet dishes that reflect the Chef’s travels and Italian heritage. The menu features unique culinary creations that showcase Chef Heros’ artistry and skill.

Roman Wellness

The Anantara Spa offers a peaceful escape for guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Drawing inspiration from Roman healing practices, Ayurvedic ceremonies, and Asian therapies, the spa offers a range of treatments designed to promote wellness. Tying into the hotel’s ancient past and location over the baths, their signature treatment is the Diocletian Ritual. This 120-minute spa experience incorporates ancient ingredients like olive oil, honey, and sea salt, with medicinal herbs to detoxify both the body and soul. The treatment involves a full body scrub with salt and laurel, followed by being wrapped in warm mud to eliminate impurities from the skin. After a steam and shower, the experience culminates in a relaxing massage that uses St. John’s wort oil to soothe the skin.

In addition to the spa treatments, the spa also offers yoga and meditation sessions and the opportunity to go jogging with a professional runner, passing by historical sites such as the Colosseum and the Villa Borghese. These activities align with Anantara’s goal of promoting overall wellness and balance for the body.

Immersive Experiences

Anantara offers its guests a chance to explore Rome from a unique perspective through its Signature Experiences. These experiences take guests to places they wouldn’t usually go, providing a different and memorable way to discover the city. The Eat, Pray, and Love tour takes guests on an expeditious journey through Rome via cobblestone streets on a golf cart or limousine. During the tour, guests will explore hidden corners of the city, lush gardens, private palaces, churches, and villas, all in a short amount of time. Other unique experiences offered include a three-hour Vespa tour and private tours of the Vatican. While Rome may not be seen in a day, these experiences offer a unique glimpse into the city’s hidden gems.
